In an attempt to get our creative juices moving again we decided to write and record some music. With the help of the modern technology of Garageband, Pro Tools, Reason, and a variety of plugin’s we can make this happen.
The plan is that we will trade off picking a band. We each will write and record 1 song in the style of the band that was selected. Next, we will listen, enjoy, and comment on each others songs.
These are more of guidelines than rules. We couple do something completely different one month, just to throw your off. We also might take a stab at covering a song or three. The point is to create music and share in the entire experience.
As for now, all the recording with be completely separate. Lars will be recording his song at his house or office, however he wants to. Tim will be doing the same at this house. We will each post separate songs for each experiment. These songs will be posted near the 15th of each month.
In the meantime we will be posting interviews from musicians and songwriters, as well as posting other random related posts that we think you might find interesting.

Lars Eric Stromberg is a Minnesota transplant who somehow ended up in the western suburbs of Chicago. He is the pater familius of the unit which also includes a beautiful lady named Katie, and two boys referred to as Quinten and Albin. Albin is only 7 months but will most certainly play upright bass in the future. He is a pastor and loves the church wholehearted and unabashedly. Lars is a musician in his heart if no where else. His influences include: Tears for Fears, Stars, the Talking Heads, Duncan Sheik, Neil Young, Sufjan Stevens, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Annuals, Arcade Fire and most of what Tim likes. He enjoys itchy sweaters and the company of reasonably nice people.
