Jet Plane by: Surrounded By Werewolves

My Spoon inspired song is completed.  It is entitled “Jet Plane”, hope you like it.

Surrounded By Werewolves – Jet Plane

Lyric’s

She had her heart on a jet plane
If only she could fly like the birds or even bugs
High above her house far away from head pain
It could be peace it could be heaven
It could be peace it could be heaven

Find another break
Smoke another cigarette
Dream about the clouds high above the night train
If we always see heaven on earth
If we always see heaven on earth

on a Jet Plane in the sky
Go from Paris to Tokyo
Leave all the baggage behind
In a giant cloud of dust
Let it settle let it rust
Time to find Free time
On this daydream holiday
Sleeping in the cold
Dreaming of a new day
Where everything is warm, is real
and there’s nothing holding her back

no there’s nothing holding her back

Love will give her help
From running to the night train
Living for today is the pain-stake
If we always see heaven on earth
If we always see heaven on earth

  1. Awesome! Totally evocative and a nice change of pace in terms of style and temperment. It’s a fabulously balanced song. If you converted the keyboard for a slightly out of tune stand up piano, it’s a dead ringer for a Spoon song. If you were making a full length album, this would be a perfect last track. Thanks, I loved it.

  2. I’ll probably talk about it more in the Podcast. Basically, I was thinking about the stories that Shari shares with me about all the mom’s she has worked with and how they probably want to get away from all their problems and having a day dream about getting away can be somewhat of a relief.

  3. Tim, This song is really great. I loved it. Of all your creations thus far for the Food for the Beloved project, this is my favorite. It’s crafted really well and executed really well too. Thanks for these. I always look forward to listening.

  4. dang. this is good. real good. i love the visual of letting your baggage rust. freeing. great groove, tim. i’m pulling for an armedies reunion concert at the “living room” for you geniuses to play these tunes live.
